Practice law and have a life. It’s possible to do both. Our clients are hiring emerging companies attorneys (associates, partners and Of Counsel welcome) to counsel start-up companies and investors. Form genuine relationships with exciting companies. Work with Big Law-trained attorneys and receive general counsel training in a boutique environment. Position yourself for a long career with a firm that values work-life balance with a 1500 billable benchmark, and/or position yourself to transition to in-house roles. Associate compensation is on par with competitive boutique corporate firms and benefits exceed those of Big Law firms.
This position can be 100% remote from any state, or work a hybrid schedule and sit local in Denver or a major California market (LA/Bay Area/Palo Alto).
Candidates will be considered if they have 2-10+ years of experience in the following practice areas from a reputable law firm or corporation (AmLaw100 firm experience highly desired):
- Company-side venture financings
- Venture capital, private equity, and securities
- M&A transactions
- Credit finance
- Alternative financing structures
- Angel investments
- Advising clients on commercial and licensing deals with start-up and/or global enterprise players
- General corporate maintenance including participation in board meetings and counseling directors regarding fiduciary duties and other legal matters
Preferred industry experience:
- Enterprise Software and SaaS
- Gaming and Content Distribution
- HealthTech and Life Sciences
- Internet and Social Media
