One of our legal partners in LA is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join their expanding Litigation practice. They are a global law firm that has been in business for over 100 years! 


The Litigation Paralegal will work within the firms Commercial Litigation practice, assisting attorneys by preparing documents for production, preparing documents and filing in the California courts, proofreading and cite-checking briefs, drafting discovery, preparing, tracking and responding to subpoenas, organizing and/or maintaining case files, updating and maintaining databases among other responsibilities.

  • Carry out eDiscovery and gather and produce documents, while creating timelines for attorney examination.
  • Utilize firm systems to schedule litigation events and associated deadlines for attorneys and staff.
  • Draft, reply to, coordinate, and serve written discovery requests.
  • Assess and arrange documents obtained through discovery or other means.
  • Coordinate and communicate discovery and document matters with witnesses and clients.
  • Draft case management statements, declarations, and other necessary documentation for Court submission under attorney supervision.
  • Prepare binders, duplicate materials, input data, and maintain files for court hearings, client meetings, depositions, and trial.
  • Submit documents to the courts and provide judges with courtesy copies of the filings.
  • A Bachelor's Degree and Paralegal Certificate are mandatory.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
  • Proficient in technical skills, including typing, and possess an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, iManage/FileSite, and Elite.
  • Familiarity with Compulaw is preferred but not required.
  • Extensive experience in electronic filing in California's Superior Courts, particularly in Los Angeles Superior Court, including knowledge of the California Rules of Court for lodging sealed documents and filing publicly redacted versions.
  • Extensive experience in electronic filing in U.S. District Court, particularly in the Central and Northern Districts of California, including familiarity with Federal and Local Rules governing electronic filing of sealed documents and publicly redacted versions.
  • Proficiency in handling complex multiple filings and organizing documents and exhibits for attorney approval and electronic filing.
  • Strong skills in research, drafting, writing, and verbal communication.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues.
$100,000 to $105,000 DOE
