Location flexible – San Francisco, Boston, Washington DC, Chicago, Los Angeles, Santa Monica

They are seeking a Senior Practice Group Marketing Manager to join their team.



This role will work closely with leadership, firm attorneys, and other marketing team members to lead development and marketing activities for the Business/Litigation department. The goal of this position is to drive revenue through new business opportunities and client expansion programs, including pitches and proposals events and sponsorships, key client initiatives and business development coaching and training.


  • Develop and implement short-and-long term strategic business plans and tactics that result in measurable growth of business for the firm, with emphasis on retention of and cross-selling (within new practice groups and offices) to existing clients, as well as cultivation of new clients for the firm
  • Oversee the management of marketing budget for assigned practice group(s) and geography
  • Lead a team of professionals who serve as main point of contact for business development/sales/marketing support for attorneys in assigned practice group(s)
  • Coordinate and participate in sales and business development training sessions
  • Manage sales pipeline information. Establish accurate reporting and forecasting systems for the tracking of business development
  • Effectively articulate the value proposition of firm’s services to specifically targeted clients
  • Identify and support networking, speaking, media opportunities for attorneys and local office that support PG business plans
  • Manage all aspects of Business/Litigation department marketing activities for the practice


  • 7+ years’ directly applicable exempt work experience, at least 4 of which include management experience in the applicable field
  • exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications
  • Detailed knowledge of AP style guide


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience with sales contact database programs
  • Supervisory experience



$170,000 - $190,000 dpending on expereince + robust benefits
