Litigation Paralegal 

Los Angeles, CA

Our client is a leading firm focused on distinct areas of law and policy, as well as in specific industries. With a strong foundation in California, they have built nationally recognized practices in infrastructure, environment and real estate, healthcare, pensions, benefits & investments, government relations and corporate law. 

THE POSITION 

Transactional Paralegal to work primarily with the Firm's transactional-focused groups, including Corporate, Infrastructure, Intellectual Property, Healthcare and Real Estate. The Transactional Paralegal role includes typical corporate paralegal responsibilities, such as M&A support, due diligence, closings, title searches, real property recordings, securities law compliance and the formation and maintenance of corporate entities, partnerships and limited liability companies. The position also entails working closely with our Infrastructure attorneys on major public agency infrastructure procurement projects, including associated commercial transactions.  

YOUR CREDENTIALS 

You will be considered if you have…  

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience and paralegal certificate required. 

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in transactional law and finance. 

  • Strong understanding of transactional terms and specialized technological skills, including EDGAR and other on-line search and filing systems. 

  • Experience, or a demonstrated interest in, public procurement processes. 

  • Experience in organizing and maintaining large volumes of contract documents. 

  • Possess the ability to consult with attorneys on entity formation and maintenance options. 

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. 

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and coordinate multiple projects. 

  • Exceptional grammar, spelling and proofreading skills are a must. 

  • Must have the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. 

  • Superior communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with clients and attorneys at all levels. 

  • Skilled at meeting strict deadlines under significant time constraints.
